TIME’s World’s Top EdTech 2026: Morocco has one company on the list — 01TEK
On 22 July 2026, TIME published The World’s Top EdTech Companies of 2026, researched with Statista. Companies were scored on financial performance and industry impact. The published list has five hundred names. 01TEK is on it — ranked 458. We are the only company from Morocco, and the only one from North Africa.
We did not apply. We did not hire a PR agency. We did not spend a dirham to appear. Statista’s independent research found a self-funded team working out of Agdal, Rabat — founded in 2021 — and put us on a global list built without our lobbying.
That geography still lands hard. Not as a victory lap, but as an answer to a question Moroccan directors have asked for years: can serious education technology be built here, at world level, without waiting for permission from somewhere else? TIME and Statista answered in public.
We will not pretend a ranking marks absences or calms a conseil d’administration. What it does change is the first meeting. You no longer have to take our word that Morocco belongs in the conversation. An independent ranking already said so.
What we ship is 01TEK Campus: a whitelabel school operating system — trilingual FR / AR / EN — for private schools whose founding cohort is live through the 2025–2026 school year. Infrastructure partners include NVIDIA Inception, Google for Startups, and AWS Activate, because exam weeks do not care about press.
Telquel later asked our founder, Youssef Khouidi, whether a world-class deep-tech company can be built from Morocco. Our answer then is our answer now: yes — if you ship for real schools, stay close enough to hear the morning bell, and treat Arabic, French, and English as the default.
To educators who believed early: thank you. To directors reading this: we will keep earning the ranking the only way that matters — by making the next school day calmer than the last. Some of the future of education will be written in Rabat.
